Barry Heins was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. After training for one year at the University of Texas at Austin (Jesse Jones Drama Scholarship recipient) he then moved to New York City where he received his BFA in drama from The Juilliard School. Heins was a member of The Acting Company, touring forty-five states with five productions. Broadway: Good and Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Off-Broadway: An Enemy of the People, The Boys Next Door, On the Verge, Ten by Tennessee, and Spring Awakening. Film and TV credits:

In addition to his work as an actor and voice over artist, Heins is in private practice as a speech and dialect coach. He has taught at the actor training programs of:

  • NYU Tisch School of the Arts/Playwright’s Horizons Theater School
  • State University of New York Purchase College
  • The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City

  • Ovation Outstanding Ensemble Award (“Counsellor-At-Law”)
  • Drama-Logue Outstanding Performance Award (Much Ado About Nothing”)
