Fred Sanders
Fred Sanders is an actor, singer, director, playwright, musician and composer. Originally from New York, a Yale graduate, he has appeared on Broadway (BUDDY, THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY), National Tours (BIG RIVER and DRIVING MISS DAISY), Off-Broadway, and regionally (ACTORS THEATER OF LOUISVILLE, etc.). Since moving to LA in 1990, he has over 100 TV appearances, including SEINFELD, WILL AND GRACE, THE WEST WING, and recurring roles on TITUS and MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE. Films include SEA OF LOVE, THE SHADOW, and the Oscar-nominated short CULTURE. Onstage in LA: RECKLESS and STATE OF THE UNION with Interact, DEFILED at the Geffen, and with Shakespeare Festival/LA: MIDSUMMER (Bottom), TWELFTH NIGHT (Toby Belch once, then Feste), and MUCH ADO (Conrade/Fr, Francis/The Watch Band w/ Lyle Lovett, Sara & Sean Watkins, & Brian Joseph - OVATION AWARD “Best Composition for a Play”). Plus: Bassist/singer with Susie Glaze New Folk Ensemble and a busy career narrating audiobooks and directing them (GRAMMY AWARD for Al Gore’s AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, nominated for Carrie Fisher’s WISHFUL DRINKING).
